i would like to be able to return to the folder i was currently using, after a local database search.
eg. On the DAC3 i press CP + FOLDER = local database search. It would be nice to return back by pressing CP + FOLDER again.

There is a shortcut called "Last_Folder" and a shortcut called "Search".
CP + Folder like you describe does the search. I don't think VDJ could toggle using the same button, but you could map another button on the Dac3 doing the "Last_Folder" shortcut.

I've changed v2.0 of my DAC-3 mapper (Still under development) so that it can do this via a single button (Toggles between search box and last folder.)
However, the goto_last_folder shortcut doesn't remember which file in the folder you had selected though.
Also, if the folder is in a long list and goes off screen when moving to the search box, it doesn't scroll back down the folder list again to the correct position.
