Can anyone confirm where we all stand as far as this goes?
I get most of my music on Promo Cd... which I then rip and play at gigs using Virtual DJ. Apparently this is illegal? How can you get round it. I own all the original formats of my MP3's - on either CD or Vinyl.

Well I can't answer for europe. Although here in Canada we must purchase a licence to play music from your hard drive. it costs 250$ for 1 year.
