I'd like to recommend a book I just finished reading. It's called "Last Night A DJ Saved My Life-The History of the Disc Jockey" by Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton. It's a fascinating book that goes all the way back to 1877 when Thomas Edison invented the cylinder phonograph up to the present and how DJs have become music superstars. You'll be surprised at all the things you learn with regard to dance music history. A must read for those interested in dance music history. Anyone else have any other suggestions for DJ/dance music books?
