Ok, so using the demo version I tried recording to see what it would be like. It recorded everything looked fine untill I looked at the size. It made a 2 MB file into an 18MB file. What is up with that? Does the real version do that also?

i think you are getting confused with the format atomixmp3 records in. The program records in a WAV format which is about 10 times bigger than a mp3's size.
If you need a program to convert it Wav > mp3.
Try CDex.
