There is no particular way to use it, i just feel the mix and when you use the EQ fader.
You can try some remix, with the bass of a song a the mid and high of the other.

I guess this should be in the Mixing forum, but since you asked it here....
THe eq mixer is a great tool. Especiall if you want more than just a fade from one tune to another.
For example, with your mixer set to FULL
Have it in the middle position
have the song you are playing (say deck a) with the eq settings all the way to deck a
Then after you beatmatch (especialy effective if a song ends in a vocal loop)
Gradually move the eq sliders all the way to deck b (especialy effective if deck b is a rhythm loop)
This way you fade out of the vocals and into the new rhythm.
I like to start by moving the bass from a to b for several bars, then the high range, then the mid range.
More importantly, experiment and have fun! I mean it is also a great way to make a rhythm transition too.
