While redesigning the shortcut/functionkeys functionality please include the following:
* toggle buttons to turn auto beatmatch and so forth on/off
* a status bar with red/green coloured led-alike animations showing whether beatmatch, etc are active or not
[seems fundamental if you think about building that remote control unit ;-) ]
