Hi All,
I am looking for an audio gate transformer/effect. I want to be able to control the length of the drop (1/4,/1/2, 1/16, etc.) thru the hardware The current mapping controls the current controls the strength. This description is in Cut effect terms. I have a Prime 4+, I haven't been successful in re-mapping because I am concern that will impact the behavior of the Prime 4 for all effects rather than just that effect when I call it in any of the deck. any suggestions on effects? In Traktor was called Gate.

If windows a virtualfx can act as a proxy control and you can swap dials.
Although the hardware mapping isn't difficut
just query if effect_select returns "cut", if yes effect_slider OTHER_ONE, if no stay normal

Bear in mind also that the deck FX in VDJ can be switched between single slot and three slots, meaning that (in three slot mode) each of your Prime 4 FX knobs controls parameter 1 of the three FX slots.
In single slot mode though, if you have CUT loaded, then knob 1 controls param 1 and knob 2 controls param 2 (Length).
