Cleaning up my history playlist. I want to remove the intro songs I use to test the speakers. I open my history playlist, pick the song, hit delete and even tried ctrl+del on keyboard, doesn't work. When I right click on the song, I don't see an option to delete from history either.

So the history playlists are meant to record what's played in an opened session of VirtualDJ for future reference...it's not really meant to be a regular list. Why do you want to remove the test files from the history record? Could you just ignore the timeframe they were used for instead?

Open the history file in a text editor and delete them. That's what I do for those test tracks.

Got it. VirtualDJ should allow you to delete things in a session using something like ctrl+delete. All of us mobile guys test sound system before sets, the testing isn't really part of the session song list.

I understand but I think that they intended the history to be an immutable record (i.e. the behavior is deliberate as you can always rely on it to give an accurate account of what you did during any session once it is enabled), and regular Lists for mutable needs. If you allow mutability that reliability goes out the door and that may matter if you are looking at the record a long time after the session (when you may be blurry on the session specifics).
@kradcliffe gave one option (delete it outside of VirtualDJ). Another option would be to just disable writing history while you test (set writeHistory to no while testing and then set it to yes when playing) or to restart VirtualDJ (that Makes a new numbered list I believe under the same day).
