I think I know the answer, but I'm not 100% sure, so if someone could confirm or refute this, that would be awesome.
I currently have the free version of virtual dj. I'd like to use POI to output midi notes and velocity over a standard USB2 midi interface.
Am I right in thinking that this would only be possible to do in a paid for version?
Context: friends would like to have a dance performance where a dmx light desk gets cues over midi to change a scene.

Yes, custom MIDI devices (that are required for what you want to do) are available only on PRO version.
If it's something you need to make only once, you could easily subscribe to PRO monthly for just one month, and then cancel your subscription after you're done!
