Topic: 4K Videos - AV1 Format

I am starting to get 4K Videos in AV1 format. The video loads in Virtual DJ and the audio plays but the video file freezes. Off topic, I can't get these videos to play in QuickTime either.

Is there a codec for MAC and/or Virtual DJ to get AV1 videos to work?

I don't think mac has hardware decoding for AV1 yet, so it will all be in software, which for 4k videos will probably be too slow for real-time playback.
So depending on which mac you have, you'd probably need to encode in H264 or H265
