The tunes load in the deck but do not play through the correct deck. Instead they play through the deck that is already playing another tune. Uninstalled and now back VDJ 7. Anybody else experienced this and if so what was the fix, if any?

You've probably got your sound incorrectly configured - but because you've not given any details about it or posted a pic of the settings, it's hard to advise.
Also you've not mentioned if you're using any external hardware (controller, mixer, audio interface) and if you are, what make/model.

Not using any external hardware just good old mouse, which I agree is not the best :)
And now after I have done a clean install it all seems to be working fine...
If it falls down again I shall post back with screen shot of settings etc etc
