Is there an effect that rolls the first beat similar to the Beat Grid but only one beat, not 4?

Not following you, but am interested in what you mean

I've been experimenting with stuff similar.
 
Not following either, but pretty sure you can edit the Beatgrid Effect pattern and achieve what you want.
 
The problem with the Beat Grid is that you cannot uncheck 2, 3, 4 beat. I just want a quick DDDD on the 1st beat. The controller has a roll that does what I want, however it's too strong and it's all you hear. The Beat Grid is a perfect amount of effect....if only.
 


Doesnt this provide a DDDD on the 1st beat ?
