You can't do that. Only the audio can be recorded.
Some of us have asked for the ability to record MIDI data too, but whether it will happen or not is anyone's guess.
VDJ 8 (pre-release) did once have a feature called Timeline which enabled editing of tracks into a mix or remix etc. but it was removed before VDJ 8 was fully released. Atomix decided for us that it wouldn't be very popular/useful.
IMO the best choice for producing and editing mixes is Ableton Live. This does enable you to edit to your heart's content.
