I since removed 7 and all native 7 plug ins and stuff, and did a fresh install of 8. Did not want any 7 baggage.
Where is the Sonique for 8? Don't want to mess things up.

You can stick the SVP files straight into the VideoEffect or Visualisations folder.

Sonique files are actually DLLs, so won't work on a Mac.

If you want to be able to use them as audioOnlyVisualisations, then Visualisations. Otherwise it's user preference.
Personally I prefer to keep anything that generates content in Visualisations, and things that modify content in VideoEffect.
