Hi everyone, major bug here...

¾ of the time I use the "Smart play" function, the song either starts ahead or behind it's cue position and completely messes the mixes.

I tried every settings possible without any success.

This happens on every Virtual DJ versions.

Please check your autoCue Settings in the Options Tab
 
I did, numerous times. Nothing changed.
 
...what is your setting first beat/ skip silence or no ?
 
autoCue = first beat
 
which one of these three you have set ?

audio tracks all scanned/ re-analyzed and added to database ?
what happens when you disable smart start ?
 
The problem when you have Smart play disable is that you have to be 100% accurate on the Play button. Kinda "risky".

My database is uptaded yes, all my audio tracks are in it. But do I really have to scan/re-analyzed them? You think that may solve the problem? I have about 4000 songs in my music folder, so it may take quite a while...but if it's necessary I will do it.

I re-scanned/added to the search db my Chicago House Music folder and I still have the same problem.

Oh well, thanks anyway.
 
cue points importet from V7 db ?

When I installed Virtual DJ 8 yesterday and runned it for the first time, the folders from my old Virtual DJ 6.0.7 Pro were already there. I did not change/import anything manually.

Some of the tracks are cued at the exact same place they were in Virtual DJ 6.0.7 and some are not. Franckly, I don't understand a thing. LOL

By the way, I'm sorry for the quality of my written english, I'm french canadian. I'll try to adress my problem on the french forum.

I Dj since 1979, learned it the hard way with vinyls and turntables (belt/direct drive ones). I worked in a few clubs here in Montréal, still make gigs once in a while (weddings, corporate events). But with Virtual DJ it's just not the same feeling.

When you launch V8 for the first time, database will be automatically imported.
Add some new songs to V8. Set some cue points and check if issue still present.
Possibly there is something wrong with the import of old cue points.
 
But I already had the same problem with version 6.0.7 Pro.

Funny thing is, when no song is playing on the other deck, all starts are ok with Smart play on.

Weird...

please check also if you have autoBPMMatch set to "no" in V8/ Settings/ (advanced) Options Tab
