When I open the program my EFX-4 button automatically engages on both sides of the controller? why????????? now I have to service my unit for a button replacement because I always have to dis-engage it before I even play mt first song of the night!! frustrating

The EFX4 is mapped to the filter_activate function to enable/disable the filter.
You could remove the filter functions from the EFX4 knob and button if you don't like it, but to be honest if one press per gig is enough to kill the button then I'd be more upset about that!
