Topic: Track skipping on Virtual DJ8

I've been using Virtual DJ 8 with a Pioneer DDJ-SB controller and a Macbook Air. I bought both over the summer so they're fairly new. Out of my last few gigs, I've had a handful of songs (3 or 4) skip ahead as though someone is spinning my jog wheel in the DDJ-SB even though I wasn't touching it. Anyone else have this problem? If so, any tips on how to remedy it?

yes, same problem when playing video karaoke files with a HP envy 17 and mc6000mk2
