Topic: Searching issue

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Not a major issue, however It may be worth fixing. Here's some context:

I use external hard drives for my music- I store no music at all on my laptops. My hard drives are named NRG MUSIC 001, 002, etc. (my DJ name is DJ NRG.)

I do a ton of production (ghost remixer for a number of big producers), and internally I name them all NRG Remix. In VDJ7, I was able to keep all of the naming as displayed about and in the search box type in NRG and 150+ tracks would appear.

In V8, when I search for NRG, I am shown 14,000+ songs. Took me a while to figure out why, however since the name hard drive contained the NRG letters, it look that into the search criteria.

The fix for me was to just rename the hard drive to something abstract, however this can possibly confuse others. The simple fix would be not include the hard drive name in the search results.

It sounds like filepath is one of your search options, the tiny dot next to the search bar, click it, un-tick filepath
You can restore your drives name after that.

Ooh... Never thought about that! I'll give that a shot!
(I guess this would also surface if I tried to search for a name of a sub folder...)

Loco,

Perfect, thank you!!
