It's over an hour that VDJ8 says the title message. I'm trying for the 1st time to add my karaoke songs to 8 database. Over an hour seems too long?? I have them on an external drive. VDJ7 usually takes a maximum of 15 minutes to do every file I have

Adding MP3's, video and ITunes no problem... They add to the database in a few seconds to a few minutes, no problem. Just the karaoke seems to be a problem. I'm trying again for the third time

Are the karaoke files zipped?
If so, then it will take a lot longer because VirtualDJ has to decompress each ZIP to be able to read information from the files contained within each ZIP file.
