Topic: Ref Syphon client plugin

Is it going to be possible to have the person who made the syphon plugins for vdj make them compatible with version 8 as on mac i feed visuals through syphon too

I believe it is being done. No timescales though.
 
Yes, they will be available very shortly (PC and Mac versions!).
 
Killin em on both platforms!!

I gotta say the fact that I can now syphon on a PC is the absolute shit!!! Y'all will not be disappointed!!

Between VDJ and what?

I use GrandVJ and I'm not sure if it can do the job.

On PC, between VDJ and any application that supports FFGL plugins. There is also a 'webcam' driver that works in some applications too.

On Mac, between VDJ and any application that supports Syphon, in either direction.

VDJ to Resolume seems broken now........ Doesn't work on my machine anymore and the only thing that's changed is VDJ.
 
I haven't had much luck with Resolume installing on my machine so I can not confirm but can you describe broken? No communication? Locks up?
 
Syphon is working here on 1845.
 
works great.
Download syphon plugin for VDJ8 on VDJ site ( http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/16750/syphonserver8.html )
& put unzipped-file in:
/Volumes/..../USER/Documents/VirtualDJ/Plugins64/VideoEffect/SyphonServer8.bundle

Choose the effect via the Video Effect dropdown in VDJ 8 and click on the grey circle left of the name, which will then turn green, indicating VDJ 8 is acting as a Syphon server.
Then, you can of course pick up the signal in another Syphon-enabled client, like Syphon Recorder, Resolume Avenue, GrandVJ, VDMX, etc. (I have 'em all ;-))

Syphon plugin for VDJ 7 also exists & works (that's a different file).
