Topic: Show only differences from config default

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hi there,

is it possible to display only differences from default in the config? In expert mode there are many options and I would like to have an overview which ones were changed.

Thanks, Christian

As far as i know ...this is not possible....

Then ... can you make it possible? :-)

This is really a good idea.
I will forward it to the dev team.

Thanks :-)

Maybe they will pay you for your idea!

This is a really good idea. +1 For that implementation.

I feel that the options tab has gotten very busy. It's good that there are contextual explanations.
Personally I think it looks too technical for most people in this list form though I recognise this will make it much easier to update with any new options/settings.

Please ! Is this some kind of British humor ?

+1

It would be perfect if the default value will also be visible. So if I changed an option I would like to set only one value to default without resetting all options to factory default.

You can right click on the option to reset to default.

Cool, thanks. Is that in the manual (I have not read yet ;-)) ?

It isn't actually (after a quick look) - but it should. Will get it added.

I think the default values should be in the explanatory text which pops up below the config area.

Also, last time I looked there were still some config options with no explanatory text or anything in their....er.....fields. How are we supposed to know what they do or what to enter in the field?

If you can remember what they are then i'll log it. I thought they had all been fixed, but obviously not.

one thing i remember straight out of mind is latency. quite shure this needs no big explanation, but at least maybe a small hint how to set up, when "automatic" ( which is by default) does not show the expectet result

skinvisibility
skinracks
skinsplitstate
skinpanels
skinposition
iremotelist
internetproxy* (all 4 options)
broadcastserver
iremote* (all 3 options)
debuglogmidi
crossfadercustom (brief info but no string in field, or details of what strings to use)

Now some of these I'm guessing are admin type things, unlikely to be required by users - so why have them visible?

I think numerical values should always have a min and max value in the explanation text to know the boundaries. Also float values would bei easier to handle if they are limited to 2 or 3 zeros after comma.

What do you think?

Regards, Christian
