But maybe we can even host some icon packs for download from site.. ;)

You have my vote!
Sounds better than a colorfull mixed environment made with different size and color pics found on the webs...

Icon packs........and sample packs, with icons already assigned.

[*]the resonance of the filters is not adjustable

filter_resonance is your friend here. You could even assign it to a spare custom knob, or a MIDI control...

Cannot for the life in me find where the codec section is to change codecs

This is no longer possible in v8, all codecs are internal.

why my old cues is a little bit front of the beat at v8?

The filter itself has gone from bad (V7) to ok, I wouldn't use it as there are better user made filters and VSTs. Although I have nice FX on my mixer.

I expected better and some more innovative FX in general from VDJ8. In the run up to the release it was announced that FX would be post fader, something else which didn't make it.

Not possible to use FX on the sampler either, even when it's routed via a deck.

Not currently no - hopefully in the future this will be possible.

I used to replace the avi code, because the stock wouldn't play some of my files. I've checked and so far all of those files seem fine. It's easy when it just works. Hopefully it won't be an issue though.

The CPU usage is very high. I just tried mixing three video files at the same time and the usage is twice higher than when I tried the same videos with the VDJ7.
After disabling the cross fader, video does not fade with the volume only the audio fades with the volume and I have to still use the cross fader for video.

why is it my macbook pro retna 13" seems to get hot with VDJ8??

How are you fading the audio? If you disable the cross fader, then you cannot link audio and video, to the cross fader.

Is you CPU usage higher? You have tried 7 & 8 in a test? Is it time to clean out the fans?

..but sure could still be a disable feature for live feedback if you turn it off in browser, or in options...

Where? I can't find it ..

in the options, you can now turn off LiveFeedback ( or soon, depending if your build is updated yet..)

If "showcoverfordragdrop" is disabled, it means when dragging a file to a deck all that's shown is a finger tip, in VDJ7 a disc icon was shown which made more sense, also the cursor would be crossed out whilst hovering over an area other than a deck, which felt more assuring. Please bring it back.

Already reported here earlier today.

Beat you to it!
