so in the setting i went to browser and i wanted to fix the external drive, it was acting strange when doing searches in it so i did a clean, fix then hit check. when i hit check, my system is now frozen and waiting with the hour glass, why is it doing this and am i doing this wrong some how. are there any other ways to do this.

I always use the sequence as it is in order. Check, Clean, then Fix.
