I have some MP4 Music Videos where the sound is similar to an MP3 ripped at 96kps. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on why this is occurring. The videos come from three different video record pools - and I am not converting them (using the originals). Most videos sound fine, but some have poor sound as described above.
I have a new HP laptop with an intel core i7 processor, 8 gigs of ram, and and an Nvidia GeForce GT 650M video card. I have a Gigaport HD sound card, with the latest drivers installed. I am using the default settings on the Gigaport HD sound card.
I don't use any other external controllers, etc.
Why would most videos sound great, but some sound poor? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
