What is the most effective way to make nice looking mix CD's? I used lightscribe before but that didn't look too good. Then I had Epson printer that could print on CD's but it got broken very quickly. Now I see it's possible to order pre-printed CD-R's that you can burn later. Is there a better way to print on CD's? At least black & white.

Me, I have been using the Canon series printers. They have been very reliable. I find it best to use the white printable photo-finish type cd-r's. They are waterproof also. I purchased them from disc makers. Any image printed on them will have a fabolous finish.

Thanks for the info. It looks like Canon printers in USA have disabled CD printing functionality and require some modification. But it's not impossible.

What kills me is the stuff you can create doesn't look pro quality & then the ones that have that thick paper don't always work. I've had people tell me the lable came off or won't fit into certain cd players because of the label.

I think no one here wants to use labels. We are discussing here how to print directly on CD.

I tried that and gave up.

I am not going to buy a printer just for that, I own two printers already.
