Topic: clone_deck between 2 and 4 & toggle timecode control - Page: 2

deck 2 timecode_active ? deck 4 rightdeck & deck 4 select & deck 4 timecode_active : deck 4 timecode_active ? deck 2 rightdeck & deck 2 select & deck 2 timecode_active : deck 2 timecode_active & deck 2 select & deck 2 rightdeck

OK I just tried it on a few different skin and it will bring the deck infront but I still have to keep it held down and as soon as I let go it goes right back. On my skin I didnt use the LEFT/RIGHT logic does that make a difference??

the code is for the 4 deck default skin..
and to be used in a key at keyboard or midi controller

What skin are you using? and where are you pressing down?

works fine here..
but if you hold the button down it will swap for as long as you hold..

I think you are just pressing the button a little bit too long..

Will try make something to avoid that side effect
 
Yeah thats just it, I want it to swap till I hit the button again. When I use your code I have to HOLD the button but as soon as I let go it switchs back to the other deck and that not good. That would mean I would have to hold down the button, scratch with 1 hand and not use the crossfader, lol. I wish I could find my dang charger for my camera so you could see. I'd use my phone but it just turns the config screen into a white wash.

try just tap the button quick, dont hold it at all..
Works right? (at least here)



What i mean is if you hold it too long, it will go back to deck 2..

Naw Norway it just doesnt work for me. Oh well I have a code that works and its what Schavel gave me.............

Looks like you have to turn OFF timecode too

or if you dont want to make the deck you have timecode active waveform and the selected right deck, a shorter code for only swapping timecode :

Only turns off timecode on deck 2 but dosent turn it on deck 4.

I'm thinking thats the one - except the 3 should probably be a 4 - will try soon. I never knew there was a timecode_active off - thats all I needed to figure this out - haha ;)

Eureka - here is what worked for me...

deck 2 timecode_active 2 on ? deck 2 timecode_active 2 off & deck 4 timecode_active 4 on : deck 2 timecode_active 2 on & deck 4 timecode_active 4 off
