I just downloaded the virtual dj program, but it seems that when i press the record button, nothing happens. What do I do?

Go to Record
You see 5 circular buttons on top, for now click the one on the left (record to single file)
Make sure your filename and path are set to where you want it.
Press the record button.
Play a song.
Go back and see if it recorded.

Maybe he's tryign to record in mp3 and he hasn't set an coder yet. Try Lame.
