This article is to help those who have used Dj Drops but were not impressed, those thinking about adding Drops into the mix or those who are just curious.
First a quick bit about myself. I am TheWigman and I have the coolest job on the planet. I have Voiced & Produced 1000's of Dj Drops . I have been helping Dj's around the world kick their image up notch. Compete in a saturated market. Get noticed and Brand who you are. Dj Drops let the audience know who you are and how to contact you. Dj Drops are tools of the Trade if used right. Like anything to much is not a good thing.
There are 3 main styles of Dj Drops. They are.
DRY DROPS
VEO DROPS
FE DROPs
DRY DROPS are becoming very popular. They allow you to edit the vocals the way you want them and add effects. Take the Dry vocals and splice them up. Drag each bit into a new track and add modulations effects like Flangers, Phasers, chorus etc. I offer a 4 Pack of Dry Liners up to 10 words and these are becoming my most popular requests.
VEO DROPS or vocal effects Drops are the best all around drop. They can be dropped into any mix and not mess with the flow of your set. VEO are simple liners with modulation effects. These are also very good for Mix Tapes . They glide right over the top of the mix and get the message to the audience. I really enjot producing VEO Drops. VEO's are perfect for VDJ Dj's. They sound great over all mixes.
FE DROPS or Full Effect Drops are fully produced with vocal & sound effects. This Drops you have to be careful how you use them. They are great for transitions in beat flow. Great as intros. Use these baby's and you deliver a powerful message. They will break the floor down however if they are to long. These Drops are good to get the bar working. Clear the floor and start a new set. Great for Radio Dj's. For VDJ these are great for top of the hour intros . Be careful not to over use the drops. They can be annoying to your listeners
Drops are powerful tools if used right. They will get you noticed and increase bookings. Self promotion is a tough act in the mix . Dj Drops will promote who you are and how they can contact you. Drops are great for branding special club mixes, Friday Night Flashbacks or Saturday Nite House Parties for example. Dj Drops will let every one know you are serious about what your doing.
