Hi everyone in the Forums,
I am currently using
Macbook 2.4ghz
2gb RAM
Hercules RMX
Virtual DJ Hercules edition (bundled software)
I have a couple of questions i would like answered if possible?
I am looking to change over to a new MacBook 2.4 Aluminium or a 3 month old 15" Macbook Pro 2.4ghz, 2gb RAM
Which of these would be the better option??
I am also just about to upgrade to VDJ pro 5.2.1 but waiting till new machine comes along next week.
I have used the pro version on my friends machine and it works great with the auto playlist facility which i would use at the beginning of a gig for background music, but the hercules version doesn't have this.
I have plugged in my Hercules to my friends MacBook Pro, but it doesn't detect it, it says no controller, even though we have installed all the drivers etc???
If i upgrade to the pro version, will my hercules work with it??? Don't want to keep using the bundled version.

Yes, it will work fine.
I have to tell you have a discount if you purchase the PRO version.

You need to activate it in the remote tab in the pro version for it to be detected;)

Pic whatever Mac book has the most Ram... A newer chipset might be worth having not as much video ram as in a Macbook pro.
for me i would stick with the Pro.

I would prob upgrade to 4gb of ram anyway if i got the pro
the aluminium macbook has the faster / newer ram than the older style pro as well! Which should run faster than the old pro, and the graphics card is more powerful than the old pro!
4gb ram upgrade is only £43 for the old style pro???

Ok,
decided on the 2.4 aluminium MacBook
will also upgrade to pro vdj.
