I have few questions about a setup I'm going to get...
I Have a HP DV9000 laptop with with intel dual core and 2 gigs of ram. So a pretty high end pc. With it I'm going to get maya 44 usb sound card and Virtual DJ. My PC has windows vista.
How low latency can I get with this setup?
Will vista cause any problems?
Does virtual dj support maya 44 and vista well?
Anyone else has this kind of setup? Any problems?
My DJ gear at the moment is 2x Pioneer CDJ-800, 1x Technics SL-1200 mk2, Pioneer DJM 400 (going to use time coded CD's)

Hi, I have a laptop with Vista and a maya 44 usb. All works pretty well. I can't get maximum sound quality and low latentcy though. So I turn off the scratch algorithm from advanced to simple, then I can get low latency. And the sound quality is still pretty good.
From what a few people have been saying on here, something like the presonus firebox might give you better performance than the maya. I haven't tried it though.
