I´m looking for a PC videocard for karaoke and video files. I really appreciate your inputs for a reliable videocard. What kind should I buy? Thanks a lot for all your help.

We need a little more info about your system, ie. Vista or XP also give us some system specs.

It is a Windows XP Desktop, Service Pack2, Intel Processor 2160 @ 1.80 GHz, 1MB RAM, 160 GB HDD.

I do have PCI Express... I have no idea if its 2.0

I run the 4850 in my touchscreen setup, I would try it in XP, I dont know how well it will work as it is made for Vista. You might also want to google "4850 fan fix" if you get this card and speed up the fan as this baby runs HHOOTTTTT.

I run Vista and love this card.

You need to find detailed specifications on your system board, who made your PC?

However, if all you are needing is a new video card for playing videos, the 4850 is probably overkill. Radeon X1050 and up should work fine for video, you should be able to find a X1550 reasonably priced.
