I have a new laptop which is running VISTA. Besides updating the drivers are there any other tweaks for VISTA. Thank you guys in advance for any help given.

Before you go about trying to tweak Vista, why don't you try VirtualDJ and see. It's a waste of time tweaking Vista if you don't have to.
But if you want to first, disable both the UAC (User account) and the sidebar features. Then uninstall any AV/Freewall software (that's if you only going to use it solely for VirtualDJ, like my gig Laptop).

Thanks Jimmy, but I have the rmx console ,and I am using the software which came with the rmx and have updated the drivers for the rmx and the VDj software. Just making sure that there are no special tweak for Vista like XP. I have'nt upgraded to pro yet, but I will soon.
