Topic: MP3 / ID3 / Name renaming software?...

Good morning all!!

I have just rebuilt my PC and realised that I have over 300 albums stored on my HD – these are albums I have downloaded legally from the internet but on opening them the majority of the albums consist of a folder which is titled the album name and within that the MP3’s themselves.

The only problem I have is that all the MP3’s are titled “Track 01.mp3 / Track 02.mp3” and so on.

My question is – is there a piece of software (please … not iTunes!!!) that can read selected directories and rename the audio files with their correct names and ID3 tags? E.g. “Flo Rida – Elevator.mp3”

I have searched high and low for this software but cannot find it – without it I’ll have to manually rename aprox 4500 tunes :o(

there are a few, but you could try wmp and that will do the job...
 
Thanks Tayla - I tried WMP but it wasnt too good - what others are out there mate?...
 
 
Do you mean something like Tag&Rename, ( I use it) I know it can set up to do multiple batch Tagging, I don't know how to set it up though, lol

It might be worth a look?
 
 
Total Commander has really nice Multi-Rename Tool if you learn how to use it.
Also renaming files from tags
