Hi Guy's, Today i made the switch from traktor to VDJ, since VDJ 5.2.1 works perfect with my DN-HC4500 and my Mac.
But i noticed something very strange in the search function.
While searching particular songs in VDJ, they just don't show up! (i doublechecked the dropdown menu on the right of the search field, where Titel, artist, filepath etc. are alle marked).
Most of my songs are in apple's AAC (.m4a) format but it also happens with .mp3 files. So it seems not to be related to any kind of extension.
Searching for the same songs in itunes and traktor is no problem.
VDJ finds only 4 related files, itunes 51 en traktor 49 files.
I don't think this issue is particular mac related, because a colleage DJ who is using VJD on windows is reporting the same issue.
We are both using itunes to manage our music and actually just select itunes playlists in VDJ and offcourse we use our search function from time to time.
What is causing this? And Better, is there a way to fix this?

ok, found it by help from another DJ colleage.
selecting all the songs and then right click 'add to search database'.
cool, now i can start working.

kept on struggling first because VJD 'forgot' my settings.
But it's solved now definitley.
