Hi Guys
Have a few 1000 karaoke mp3 files to normalise,
as the different makes of disc are all at different loundness levels (a real pain)
but at least I have the files on the hard drive, so just need to auto gain them to a set level i.e. 94 db
here is my problem...
using the auto gain feature in virtual DJ is not working to well because
the karaoke track may take up to 10 seconds or so to load in to virtual DJ,
when using the singers song list feature window option.
You hit the play button in this window, and then it loads the track, but virtual DJ does not 0db the track until it is fully loaded
i.e. at least 10secs into the track
so the singers music start off either very loud or very soft until virtual DJ 0dbs the track a little into the song
Not Good
So I kind of guess I need to at least go through my collection and normalise them all to the same level.
I have played with MP3gain software (free) ??? not to sure about this, is there a more professional software package to do the job
and not affect the mp3!! other than volume
any feed back will be very much appreciated
Regards
John
Sorry I did not POST twice, I know the rules, and would never do so anyway !
I hit my browser refresh button just after I posted this message due to your website being slow ??
and hanging on a webpage ?
so others be warned do not hit browser refresh after a post
othwise result equals two identicle listings
Sorry, not my fault, for some reason just the way the forum deals with a browser refresh
I never post twice ... ever
regards
