Morning All,
I current use TCV with my 1210's and the maya soundcard. I'm playing at a venue this weekend where i may use time coded cd's. I've never tried this out, so just wanted to confirm the set up.I'm using VDJ 5.5
Currently my 1210's are connect to my laptop via the Maya soundcard. Sound is through an external mixer.
Question 1: In my TCCD setup, do i just replace my 1210's with the cd mixer. i.e. outputs from CD mixer (denon) go into Maya soundcard. Outputs from Maya soundcard into inputs of external mixer.
Question 2: Also, is there an option for timeCoded CD's or do i leave the input option in VDJ as time coded vinyls (i didn't see a TCCD) option?
Question 3: do i need to need to download any drivers for denon cd deck (i'm assuming not)?
I have burnt the time code mp3 to cd.
Thanks

Your setup would be the same. Instead of your 1 and 2 input being the Turntables it will be the CD decks (1 obviously on the left, 2 on the right). Your output going to the mixer would be the same.

There is a Vinyl/CD option. Look in Config/ Sound Setup/ Timecode Config. Click CD

To my knowledge, NO.

You may want to check the forum for appropriate burning of the Timecode file. I believe I read that it comes very loud like its recorded at a high decibel or something. Not sure if it has been fixed and I have never personally download the Timecode file so I don't have the exact info, but I do remember chatter.

Here guys I have also a question about this. What do the vinyl and cd modes do. Whats the differnce? Is there more of a pitch smoothing on the vinyl one? I would really like to know.

Thanks Charlie Five,
Regarding the buring of MP3. VDJ seems offers 2 types of timecode for CD. One for use on professional CD decks and one for non-professional. They adjusted for sound output of various decks. I've burnt a pair for each - to cover all bases.
Cheers
