My first one was the trs-80 from radio shack and the second was the Sharp handheld PC with a whopping 16K and pen plotter/printer.

Funny this conversation is out... yesterday I was at work and I looked in my desk drawer and found some 1.5 flopper disc's... I looked at them with all the dust on them. I saw the memory of them ( 1.44mb )... I think you really can't hold anything now for 1mb - a couple documents with no graphics attached or maybe 10-12 seconds of a song.

I can remeber installing wordperfect v6.0 with 10 of those disks

hehe, nostalgia going off the deep end... anyone remember windows 1.1? the first official mac o/s ripoff...!

How about trying to do your work on the green screens!!!!

Can anybody remember the modems where you had to put your phone receiver in. That's goin back some years.

It mind blowing how fast technology advances.

I used the phone modem can't rightly remember what the baud rate was. Alos, used teletypes and holarith punch cards, since we did not have monitors. Killed entire forests trying to learn to program.

phone-set modems... YEAH! back to the days of the Manhattan Project with Matthew Broderick and when that trick about removing the cover from the mouthpiece of a payphone and putting it on the reciever of the phone to get a free call, ACTUALLY WORKED!
