This question has been driving me nuts for the past week.

I'm thinking most of them are really young and maybe some of them don't realize this forum is run by the owners and staff of the software. There's so many forums out there that crackers dive in and out of, maybe they think it's just another random forum run by random folks. Gotta be. How could anyone be that stupid?

it's not that bad that they come here to look, and maybe find out that getting the full version is worth it... ;)
maybe they see that having a cracked version will cause problems like crash etc, that some cracks are badly coded, and some cracked versions don't have all features working..etc etc
and maybe they even see how the team works with its full users, listen to its full users, when developing future versions of VDJ.. and that full support and great support is given to full users... making then want to buy the program ;)
I know many users here used to have a crack, and now own the full version! ;) so...
But a cracked version user can't expect full support, can't excpect to be not locked out of forum.. and also, they can run into stability and other problems that we can't help them with, and really the hacker himself should provide help for, as he/she made the poor hack...
but.. again... let them all come here and take a look, and then decide what to do... either to have that poor hacked version, and miss out on great updates, support etc etc... or get the full with all its benefits ;)

I also know people who have used the cracked versions and like the above post says they usually come here and find out that the full version has much more to offer and all of the features work!!
BTW, I have just ordered the timecoded vinyl, and once Ive tested it with the trial edition will be ordering the full version!!

I think it's because they want the full virsion (they didn't have money 4 it like me...) but I will NEVER try to hack into VDJ...

i dont have that kind of money to give to someone for a glorified mp3 player, im a student. Oh and by the way ive never seen a crack for vdj that touches any component of the program that has anyhitng to do with the sound processing, prahaps that should be the next stage of protection.

XEODE: VirtualDJ is not only a glorified mp3 player, it has many features making it much more, including the synchronised sampler, the virtual scratching, the effect plug-ins, and the compatibility with many external controllers.
On top of that, it's much cheaper than concurrent programs (and one of the best) :)

If you don't want to use it professionnally, you can buy DJMixstation 3, which costs much less, and has many similar features... Go here for a comparison of the different products and their prices:

I wouldn't say that DJMixstation is a lot of money, if you have a look at all the features... And if you later want to move on to VDJ, you can get a discount (if you purchased DJMixstation).

I'm not in shame saying that I used for a bit a cracked version of VDJ before purchasing the "real one", for having a more "true" demonstration of the software, and when I've understood the true potential of the program, that a cracked version CANNOT EXPRESS for sure, i correctely decided to buy this great soft. A great work has to be supported.
About crackers who write here... well, when they ask links for cracks or something else i suppose is for true lack of intelligence.. ;)

'XEODE' hasnt shelled out for the full version, gues that makes them a lamer. i guess that also makes their oppinions and sugestions invalid.
also where did they say that they had used illegal software on their demo version?
seems like anyone posting something related to not buying something gets baned from the boards and any issue they raise is closed.

the real crackers don't come here risking to get busted, the leak is allways within the vdj users cause the crackers didn't get all the releases from going to download.com so that´s a bigger problem than some lamers coming here and writing comments..
put WATERMARK stamps on the software to then track down the leak instead of trying to dry up the stains the leak is leaving :)

I have never stolen a program in my life, nor will I ever.
The topic just made me look to see how easy it really was to find.
If you look at my other posts on the subject you will see I have a special hatred for those who steal what I pay for.
If, in the future you feel the need to spank me, all of my contact info is in my profile, please do it in private.
It was an inocent mistake of judgement, a quick poke with the delete finger and an email would have been far better recieved than a threat like banning me.
I have spent a great deal of time publicly promoting VDJ in different forums.
