Topic: Are u pro dj share?

pro dj share = you agree with djs sharing among other djs

dj's need to promote the music so the consumers can support the artist period.

Now in my opinion....if your a dj getting service from the labels & your bootlegging or sharing on p2p networks with other consumers......you should be smacked in the face.

Now in my opinion, theres nothing wrong with djs sharing especially if your doing it for a living. There should be a p2p network just for djs to share, that the labels moderate.

I'm pro dj share.......what about you?

check www.imesh.com free and legal music p2p fed by labels
 


it the world was fair, djs would have free music from the lables, heck, even payed for play..

We do promotion of tracks, at packed clubs :)
 
More djs would get serviced from the labels, its more of a budget thing than anything else. The only labels I would say that don't give away or like to service music are labels/artist the depend on djs to buy instead of consumers & of course services that are made for djs.....then of course you have to expect to pay for that service.

I didn't know I mesh was watched by the labels, but either way I don't like to share over public sites. I perfer private p2p.
 
If your a radio DJ or even a club Dj and have the right contacts servicing isnt hard to get from the labels. I think alot of people just dont know how to reach the right people. I have been getting vinyl service from most of the top labels in hip hop for about 3 years. Now though they have really cut back with vinyl and i use sites like digiwaxx.com and my12inch.com I have to agree with you funkturnal that bootlegging the albums is dirty! I am on the verge of transforming to something like VirtualDJ and without having other DJ's to share with it would be hard to get my library up to par! Most of my music is on vinyl and i dont have time to transfer that.

Yeah I still get service from the majors except dance music. I have access to bsdjz music server. But my main thing now is videos, music is very easy to come by these days. Videos aren't yet, but will be just like mp3 did.....but probaly won't be for another year. Thats alot of gigs waiting for vids.

Yeah, Definately pro share between DJ's!!!

Some tracks are really hard to find, if you mix exclusively with VDJ. Some of us started with a straight MP3 collection and others with vinyl. I started with just 40 songs and now I have over 2000, some are rare and would cost time and money to find on CD, some are exclusively off vinyl rips! So Sharing between dj's would not only make more diverse and incredible mixes but It would also offer a vast array of music in genre's that aren't easy to just get into and start mixing with.
