I have recently bought a Hercules DJ Control USB MP3 decks and am having massive problems trying to figure out how I can preview with headphones. I have tried doing the config thing in the right hand corner of the Virtual DJ software but with no joy!l. I am using a Realtek AC97 sound card. Any help or tips greatly appreciated!

The DJ Control version of Hercules, does not have a soundcard (like the mk2 model has)
It includes a free limited version of Virtual DJ, that supports the use of ONE soundcard.
To prelisten, that ONE soundcard, needs to have two outs (a 4.1/5.1 soundcard).
You can buy such a surround usb soundcard cheap.
On such a card, you will have master out on channel 1 out, and relisten on rear out.
