Topic: TCV - Recording

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hey Everyone,

I have a couple of very minor issues with recording using TCV's, I'm curious if anyone has a workaround ?

First, it would be nice to have it start recording automatically when I put on the first track -- this works fine without TCV's, but using TCV's it does not seem to recognize when the track has started, and does not automatically start recording... Any way to fix that?

Second, a lot of the time when I first start playing a track, there is a very brief high-pitched squeal right as the track starts... I try to wait until just a fraction of a second after the squeal, then hit "Start Recording", but this is annoying, and a lot of the time I hit record a moment too late, so it misses the beginning of the track, or a moment too early, so the squeal is recorded... Not a very smooth way to start a mix. Any way to keep this from happening?

Thanks!

enable the tickbox "autostart" :)

shoulnt happen with autostart

:)

Hmmm, I thought I tried that and it didn't work... I'll try again when I get home and report back ;) Thanks!

alright let me know :)

I didn't realize that you can now record using TCVs within VDJ. You couldn't when I started using TCV. How does the program know when you're crossfading with an external mixer? There is no return from the mixer to the computer. Anyway, I just take the booth output from the mixer to another soundcard and record that way. Works well.

for you you need that line

he is simply using mp3 i belive

I have a line coming back out from my external mixer into the LINE IN of a sound card to record... VDJ doesn't know when I'm crossfading, etc., but the recording is done from the external mixer, not via software...

Anyway, so I tried this "Auto-Start" option in the RECORD config tab, and, like before, it did not recognize when a track starts playing... I hit "start", and it says "Waiting to start" -- but then, once I start the TCV, and the track starts playing, the record function still sits there doing nothing saying "Waiting to start"... Any idea why it could be ignoring the TCV's? How to fix this ? Thanks in advance for any help!

Anyone know why this auto-start command isn't working with TCV's for me?

i will investigate :)

Hi,

someone said:

I have the same problem here, when you read the song the first time with the TCV, you got that strange sound, but if you rewind and start the song again with the TCV the sound is not there anymore. It looks like a loading song problem.

That was using the absolute mode, I don't know for the others modes.

Thanks

For me, the sound happens randomly... Sometimes it happens every time, and sometimes it doesn't happen at all... On average, about 50% of the time. It's annoying, anyone have a solution?

try changing proformance to fastest and choose autolatency on options
