after about 20 minutes my xp10 stopped functioning -- it couldn't load, switch, play cue etc. nothing !!
so i restarted my computer and viola--it worked--for maybe only 15 minutes this time then blanggggg--it stopped working again--so i restarted my computer again and it happened again---i did this 4 times until i finally put my xp10 in a case -- thank god for cue points and assigning short cut keys

has this ever happened to anyone and does anyone have an ideas?
strange but true...........

I'm not an XP10 user, so this is just a thought.

XP10's are usb devices, aren't they? You could try it in a different usb port maybe?

Maybe try it with a different usb cable too.

Maybe something in your pc is conflicting with it? Maybe some software on your pc is taking up too much resources to allow the XP10 commands to 'come through'?

Like I say, just a thought.

In that case either use the original or if you don't have, it get a 1
meter cable of high quality. The allowed length of the cable is affected
by the quality of its make.
Believe it or not there are all kinds of non standard USB cables out
there. Many far east manufacturers of USB ports, cables, accessories and
even laptops do not adhere to the USB standards if they can save a penny
by doing it outside the specs. We have even found USB cables where the
shield was not connected to earth (ground potential).

Main thing is that you know how important it is to have a good contact
between the USB ports and the units. The choice of cable is of course
yours, but you need to know these three facts:
1. Good quality cable has better contacts and less loss of voltage than
the cheap ones.
2. The units work best when the USB voltage is a steady 5 volts DC.
3. The shorter the USB cable is, the less likely it is that there is any
significant loss of voltage in it.

this is response from xp10 developemtn team hope it helps
