hi ive just downloaded the trial and trying to test it out
when i add files to the turntable the all music doesnt load onto it. there are gaps ( i assume it needs a long time to load on to the player) or am i doing something wrong?
i am playing music downloaded from napster how long does it normally take to put file on the turntable? thanks for your help

thankyou very much i put it down to none but it still takes time to load/ has it got anything to do with my computer. how could i achieve doing a live set is there a solutiion to analyze quicker? thankyou very much

please analise all of your files first
right click a folder and choose analise > any music
if you still have problems
lower your proformance tab

None is not a good setting - set it to 10 or 15 min.
Max Load is a limit setter on what VirtualDJ should load into memory before playing a track.
If you set it to NONE, then VirtualDJ will alway read the audio file straight from the hard disk - this is not good unless you have a PC with very little memory - <256Mb
Now, Always is just the opposite - it will always attempt to load a track into memory no matter how long (in time) the audio file is. So the happy medium is some where around 10 or 15 minutes.

thanks for your advice but i'm still having a nightmare. spent all night analyizing all the songs and it still takes forever to load onto the decks. do people not use this program for live dj sets? or is it only really for mixing prior? i thought i hit a goldmine because i am using napster tracks here (tried other dj programs and they cant play napster tracks) i can understand taking some time to load tracks but can't do with taking longer than the actual trackitself
was hoping to use this program for a new years bash any further advice would be greatly apprecialted

your processor is quite low spec
check out my blog for some tips on tweaking ur pc to see if you can get more juice
you might have more luck trying

you cannot expect a high end pro audio program to work as well on a low end machine
what bug? - its not a bug its a low end machine
the laptop should be fine if you choose "autolatency" and fastest proformance

The max load was on always by default. tried turning it off but it doesn't do any good. So it is not a RAM issue. And it is not a disk issue cause i've tried loading through my local network which allows higher transfer speed than the disk in my laptop does.
I've tried defragging..
It is not autolatency cause it has nothing to do with the soundcard when I try to load a file.
I really can't see that I've missed anything essential, so my conclusion is that it is just a buggy program =(... luckily I didn't pay anything yet.
