Hi,

I opened Virtual DJ and was invited to download the latest update (4.2), which I did. However, when I tried to install I got a message saying I need the program already installed to run the update. Virtual DJ is installed in C:\Program Files\VirtualDJ. How do I get the installer to recognize this.

The file you downloaded is an update file from 4.1
So if you dont have the latest 4.1 installed, you need the full install for 4.2

I'm don't want to go through anymore downloading the up to date software. When I downloaded 4.1, All my files went back to the original load. as if the never got played and I lost all my Genres under comment to look up certain styles of music. (latin, techno R&B) etc. What a pain. Had to redo all the genres and cues....Mike

you forgot to back up your database then

copy the following files out of the virtual dj program folder

virtualdjdatabase.xml
virtualdjdtabase(yourname).xml
mp3database.txt

install the update then replace the files and carry on mixing :)

MY VDJ 4.2 VERSION DOES NOT DISPLAY THE KARAOKE LIRICS, JUST THE SOUND. WHAT CAN I DO?

Please try to stay on topic or make your own?? Are your files Zip or MP3G?? If they aren't zipped try playing the other song as you will see 2 of each track.
