this is weird because i want to use my analog stick from the hercules as a mouse, but it wouldn't let me do it, all it does is move the hilight up and down, left and right. basically, how can i use it as a mouse pointer and get it to go where ever i want it to point to?

not sure you can..
I think its only for moving up and down files inside the file-brownser window , and stuff like that.
Not sure you can use it just like a mouse.
Maybe someone else has figured out something :)

sure you can! Although it's pretty difficult to use at first (i stopped trying...) but it's do-able
in ure herc mk2 control panel (from the taskbar icon thing) select "enable DJ mouse" under the advanced menu
