I'm wondering if anyone has used this format and is it better than MP3???

I notice that the bit rates are 128 or 320??

I'm used to using 192 for mp3.......just wondering if there are any advantages to using this format. I'm seen some websites hosting some dance tracks in this format and am pleased that they now play in virtual dj but just wanted to get everyones oppinion on this codec.

Thanks

I have heard it is not as lossey as mp3. Try 128 if there are only 2 choices. 320 is way too much and not required unless you have the room. Myself I use 192 also for mp3 and I would use 128 for .ogg

I'd use 128 for ogg as well. It is probably a little overkill actually, seeing as how I can't actually tell the difference between audio off a CD and the same audio in about 96k ogg. But one day you might have a killer sound system enough to hear a difference, so I'd go with 128.

(actually, with ogg, you pick a quality setting, and it will give you an approximation of what the kbs equals. Play with the quality settings till it comes up to be about 112 to 128.)
