If I hit the search function (shortcut) when the cursor is already in a subfolder search filed, it writes a special character in these field instead of going back to the database search field.

That is normal. When you are in the text box, all keyboard input is assumed to be text, otherwise if you type 'p' in your search for example, the current deck would stop playing because it would think you meant to pause.
If you click outside the text box, then shortcuts will work again.

good idea is not to have shortcuts on the regular keys, but CTR or ALT something

in defense of the program i'll step in and say the program is just fine. the keyboard and its functions are just fine. maybe some guys just need a lil more practise.
out the box the program comes with some basic keyboard shortcuts. when u play with the program to master it [i think] ur supposed to customize the shortcuts to suit u.
[laughing] i respect that u dudes are professional users of the program but 'accidentally' pressing S and the deck stopping then running to the bugs forum looks a lil ridiculous lol.
(:o did a no license user just take a shot on professional users?! :o )

I have no idea what the default shortcuts are.., i never used them.
First think after i installed the program was to delete them and create mine...
And yes shortcuts flexibility was one of the main reasons i bought the program.
It's time for you to upgrade too vpcdj...

i shouldv owned this program since october last year. but i can come up with the story after story why i dont have it. all i can say is that im a broke ni[radio edit].
