This is not related to the current version it happened to me again sometime, but now i can reproduce it..:
Renaming/moving (or deleting) one of the favorite folders outside vdj (windows explorer),
vdj gives an error about dead link, this is normal.
But, when i go to remove this folder from the favorites (right click) this also deletes ALL the favorite folders (including playlists etc.) not only the specific folder.
Not a good thing, need some time to setup again 10 favorite folders.
