I have a Gemini professional dual CD-player, that has a controller very similar to that Pro controller. Can I use the one I've got or they are two completely different things?

2 completely different animals. The controller you have is made to be used only with a free standing CD player. Everybody makes them.
This controller is made to operate computer software. Think of it as a big cool mouse with a lot of functions built in.
