Dear Virtualdj team,
I've a question concerning how to access the database if I switched to another computer. I obviously understand that the virtualdj program has to be operated via a folder located on the computer. However could I access my latest database via one of the backup copies, or does the folder have to be updated? Hope this question makes sense. I've been wondering about this for many months. You are all extremely helpful. I love you! Virtualdj for life!!!!

Thank-you for this. So it is my understanding that I can move my entire Virtualdj folder and 3 restore a backup if needed? Is this correct?

No, don't MOVE the folder, because VDJ needs it and the contents.
You can copy the database file from one computer to another, if you use one as your main computer and the other as a backup/clone of the first one. Just make sure that the file paths are identical.

You can always use an external drive and a sync program like Synchredible to keep the two machines identical and up to date.
Cloud solutions work too.

Thank-you sir . So if I accessed the database via the restore backup on the new computer would it work?

Do you mean:
Make a backup on computer #1
Copy the backup to computer #2
Restore computer #2 from that copied backup
?
Not really necessary (as explained, you could just copy the database file) but it should work, assuming 2 is a clone of 1.
